Measuring Your Dog

Every sulky and harness is made to order, and we need your dog's measurements to start. If you are ordering for more than one dog, label each set of measurements with the dog's name.

For the sulky

Measure with a yardstick or measuring tape, with a level across your dog's shoulders.

  1. Shaft height: from the withers to the ground (blue dots to the foot). This sets the height of the sulky's dorsal arm.

For the harness

Measure with a flexible sewing tape.

  1. Collar (yellow)
  2. Girth (purple): the full length around the dog's rib cage where marked.
  3. Breastplate (red): from the point of the bone on the front of the chest to about two fingers behind the front leg.

For a driving halter

  1. Muzzle (teal)
  2. Neck (light blue)
